Mallory and Drew Evans are the husband-and-wife team behind Maven at the Lake. With a shared passion for entrepreneurship and a vision for creating elevated beauty spaces, they’ve brought their expertise and heart to every corner of the Maven brand.
Mallory is a seasoned stylist with a deep love for connection, creativity, and continued education. She currently sees guests exclusively at our Lynchburg location, where she continues to inspire both clients and fellow stylists through her work behind the chair.
Drew plays a vital role behind the scenes, helping bring the business vision to life and ensuring every salon operates with excellence, intention, and integrity. Together, Mallory and Drew have cultivated Maven into more than just a salon — it’s a place where artistry, experience, and community meet.
Brittany
Shanahan
Brittany Shanahan, our talented Artistic Director, Savvy Level Stylist and Owner at our Smith Mountain lake Location. With 10 years of experience in the beauty industry. Brittany is a proud graduate of the Paul Mitchell School in Roanoke Virginia and has been with us since our grand opening in 2018. Specializing in color, cutting and extensions, Brittany brings creativity, expertise to every service. She is passionate about continuing her education and often travels to hair shows to stay on top of the latest trends. When Brittany is not in the salon she enjoys traveling with her little boy, Liam, and cherishing quality time with him.
Mollie
Cowan
Mollie, our salon assistant and is a current future professional training at the Paul Mitchell the School Roanoke, with an expected graduation in October. She has always had a passion for hair and takes pride in helping guests feel confident and beautiful. She is committed to continuing her education, refining her skills, and staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques As our salon assistant to our lead stylist, Brittany, Mollie plays an important role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the chair while learning hands-on in a fast paces salon environment.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and animals.
Katelyn
Lynskey
Meet Katelyn Lynskey, a passionate and skilled stylist with 5 years of experience in the beauty industry. Our Artist level stylist who has been with us since 2022. A proud graduate of The Paul Mitchell School in Ronaoke Virginia in 2020, Katelyn specializes in transformational color services, helping clients achieve their dream looks with precision and creativity. When shes not making magic in the salon, Katelyn enjoys spending quality time with her little boys and family, as well as diving into a good book. Katelyn's dedication to her craft and her warm, personable approach ensure that every guest leaves her chair feeling their best.
